The word "Raibasi" (रैबासी) comes from the Garhwali and Kumaoni dialects of Uttarakhand and refers to the native people of a place — those who remain connected to their land, culture, traditions, and community. Inspired by this meaning, Raibasi Foundation is committed to empowering people while preserving the values and roots that define them.
Registered and headquartered in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, Raibasi Foundation works across India to create positive and sustainable social impact. We believe that meaningful development comes through a collective focus on education, health, technology, livelihoods, women empowerment, child welfare, and community participation.
Our connection with Uttarakhand also makes us deeply aware of the challenges faced by rural mountain communities. Increasing migration from villages, often driven by limited access to quality education and opportunities, remains a major concern. To address this, we place special emphasis on educational and skill-development initiatives in rural areas, helping young people build brighter futures within their own communities.
